The transfer from Antalya Airport to Alanya is 124.7 km and about 117 minutes; to Kahya Resort Aqua & Spa in Konaklı it is 107.9 km and about 98 minutes. Plan either as a journey in its own right, not as a short hop after landing.
Quick answer: two long transfers, and the resort is the shorter one
From Antalya Airport (AYT), Alanya is about 125 km away, precisely 124.7 km, and the transfer takes about 117 minutes. If your hotel is Kahya Resort Aqua & Spa in Konaklı, the distance is 107.9 km, about 108 km, and the drive is about 98 minutes, so it is nearer than Alanya's town centre in both distance and time. Neither is a short hop. Alanya sits at the far eastern end of Antalya province, and the sensible way to plan is to treat the transfer as part of the holiday, not as a quick connection after landing.
Alanya is a district; your hotel may be on the way there
"Alanya" on a booking can mean the town or the wider district, and the transfer time depends on which one you are actually going to. Alanya itself is a large, self-contained resort town built around an expansive Mediterranean shoreline, with a medieval Seljuk castle on its clifftop headland, the Red Tower (Kızıl Kule) on the harbour and Damlataş Cave beneath the rock. It draws international package holidaymakers, families and a substantial long-term expatriate community. Accommodation is dominated by coastal all-inclusive resorts, large holiday complexes and residential apartment blocks that stretch for kilometres along the eastern shore.
Konaklı, where Kahya Resort Aqua & Spa stands, is within the Alanya district but closer to the airport than the town centre, which is why its figure is smaller. The practical rule is simple: use the route figure for the place you will sleep, and when a hotel in the district gives its own address, check the transfer for that address rather than for "Alanya" in general.
Planning a transfer of about two hours
With a drive of about 117 minutes, the transfer to Alanya is a long one by any standard, and a few habits make it easier.
- Count the whole arrival, not only the drive. Landing, reaching the pickup point and loading up all come before the 98 or 117 minutes begin, so your realistic arrival time at the hotel is later than the landing time plus the drive.
- Think about the time of day. A long drive after a night flight feels longer than the number suggests. If you land late, it is worth asking your hotel in advance whether a late arrival suits its reception, and the late-night landing guide sets out the same logic for the shorter Belek, Side and Kemer runs; the same reasoning applies to Alanya, only with a longer drive.
- Plan around children and meals. As general guidance, think about how a long drive fits young children's sleep and meals, and keep snacks and water within reach.
- Work backwards for departure. The return journey is about as long, so for a flight home, start from the departure time and allow a generous margin for the transfer.
Flight status is monitored for airport pickups, and pickup timing may be adjusted based on the actual arrival time. Give your hotel the flight number as well, so it knows when to expect you.
Arriving at Kahya Resort Aqua & Spa
Kahya Resort Aqua & Spa is a five-star all-inclusive coastal resort in Konaklı. There is no long forest access road: the entrance is a gated forecourt and security driveway directly off the D400 coastal highway, so the last stretch after the highway is short. The main hotel entrance forecourt is the pickup point.
The resort is built around family stays. It has a large water park with multiple slides, family pools and a spa centre, and it has a private beach reached by a pedestrian underpass. On site, the water park is about 2 minutes on foot and the private beach about 5 minutes away via the underpass. Guests are mostly families, package tourists and all-inclusive beach holidaymakers. For a long arrival day with children, that matters: once you are through the gate, the pool, the water park and the beach are all close, so the evening can start quickly.
Resort stay or town stay?
- Choose a resort such as Kahya if the stay is built around water park, pools, spa and a private beach, and you are happy to leave the resort only occasionally. The transfer is shorter than to the town, and the arrival is a short gated driveway off the D400.
- Choose a stay in Alanya town if you want the castle, the Red Tower and Damlataş Cave close by, or a longer-term apartment-style base among the residential blocks along the shore. The route page to the town covers the full 124.7 km.
If sightseeing is the main reason for going, our Alanya Castle and Red Tower guide covers the attractions. For a comparison with the shorter Antalya Airport runs, the resort-area transfer planner sets Belek, Side and Kemer beside Alanya.
