Lara is the closer resort zone to Antalya Airport (about 13 km, 15 minutes); Belek is about 33 km and 35 minutes away and is a purpose-built golf and resort corridor.
Two resort areas, two different arrivals
Both areas are on Antalya’s coast, and both are served by Antalya Airport (AYT). The difference you notice first is time on the road. On our route data, Antalya Airport to Lara is about 13 km and 15 minutes. Antalya Airport to Belek is about 33 km and 35 minutes. After a long flight, Belek takes more than twice as long as Lara, which is the clearest reason to prefer Lara.
What Lara offers
Lara is an urban resort belt along Antalya’s eastern coast. Its defining feature is a natural beach of fine golden sand, about 12 km long and locally nicknamed Altınkum, with a wide, gently sloping shoreline. The Kundu corridor concentrates themed mega-resorts, among them Kremlin Palace and Titanic. The area also sits close to the Lower Düden Waterfall, where the water drops 40 metres over travertine cliffs. See the Lara district page.
What Belek offers
Belek is a purpose-built golf and resort corridor in the Serik district, laid out through a coastal pine forest between the D400 and the sea. Championship courses such as Carya, Montgomerie and the National sit alongside The Land of Legends theme park. Accommodation is almost entirely large five-star all-inclusive resorts, villas and spa estates; there is no traditional town centre or historic quarter, so most guests stay largely within one resort. See the Belek district page.
Arrival time by hotel
Hotels in the same area still differ by a few minutes. Using the route data for hotels already on our site:
- Lara Barut Collection: about 11.7 km, 16 minutes.
- Titanic Mardan Palace: about 23.4 km, 23 minutes.
- Regnum Carya (Belek): about 27.3 km, 27 minutes.
- Rixos Premium Belek: about 37.6 km, 38 minutes.
How to choose
- Shortest transfer, and a long open beach: Lara.
- Golf as the reason for the trip, or a self-contained resort stay in a pine-forest setting: Belek.
- Travelling with a late-evening landing: the shorter Lara transfer reduces the time between landing and check-in, though both are manageable.
Times describe normal driving conditions and can lengthen in peak season. The route pages above show the transfer and booking options for each destination.
