About Kemer
Kemer is a coastal resort district southwest of Antalya where the pine-forested Taurus (Beydağları) mountains drop straight into clear, pebbled coves. The town has a marina and a compact centre, and its resorts spread south along the shore through Göynük, Beldibi, Kiriş, Çamyuva and Tekirova, several set on their own coves beneath the mountains. Accommodation is a mix of mid-to-upper all-inclusive beachfront resorts and smaller pine-grove boutique hotels. The ancient Lycian harbour city of Phaselis lies within the district and Olympos and the Chimaera flames are a short trip further. Kemer differs from the flat, sandy mega-resort strips of Belek and Side, and from the distant bohemian harbour town of Kaş, by pairing full resort amenities with a dramatic mountain-and-sea setting close to the airport.
