About Beşiktaş
Beşiktaş stretches along an 8.4 km Bosphorus shoreline and holds some of Istanbul's grandest imperial heritage. The district's name traces back to five stone pillars ("Beş Taş") the 16th-century Ottoman navy used to moor its ships.
